Hi! I’m Jet de Vries, your international student recruiter, passionate about helping students from all over the world start their study adventure in the Netherlands.
My goal is simple, to make your move abroad as easy and exciting as possible! I’ll help you choose the right study program at TIO University of Applied Sciences, guide you through the application process, and support you with everything from housing to your student visa.
I know moving to another country can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Likewise, I’ll be here to answer your questions, help you settle in, and make sure you feel right at home in the Netherlands.

1. Guidance in choosing the right study program
I help students discover which TIO program best matches your interests, goals, and career ambitions. Through personal conversations and advice, I guide you in selecting the course that truly fits your prospects.
2. Support with relocation to the Netherlands
Once accepted, I assist you with all preparations for moving to the Netherlands; from travel planning and essential paperwork to tips on adapting to Dutch culture and student life.
3. Housing and accommodation assistance
Finding the right place to live can be challenging, so I help you secure comfortable and safe housing near their chosen TIO campus. Whether you prefer city living or a quieter neighbourhood, I make sure you feel at home.
4. Visa, registration, and ongoing support
I provide step-by-step guidance on student visa applications, residence permits, and local registration. Even after arrival, I remain your main contact person; ready to help with questions, challenges, or anything they might need during their studies.
